Bertie Ahern made the whole nation of Ireland preying for his head by asking them to tighten up their belts while he comfortably expanding his waistline. He cuts up cost in a lot of sectors including Health but give himself a raise that made him one of the highest paid Prime Minister in the Westernworld. Been wondering, why do the Taoiseach (thats what we call the PM in Ireland) needs a raise? Well, in the Irish Independent revealed today that Mr Ahern needed money to buy his makeup in which he spends over six time the average industrial wage on blusher and foundation!dang, talk about being Metrosexual. In a figure released by The Independent today, The Taoiseach had spent on average of 20,280Euro of Taxpayer money each year since 1998 on making himself look good.
The office of Taoiseach defended the spending by saying it was necessary because of the harsh lighting used on TV. Quoting a spokeswomen "with regard to make up services, people appearing before camera under artificial lighting conditions are required to use make up to counter the effects of strong lighting that is used by media organisation"
Yeah, we know that we have to look the best to appear on television, but 20000+ a year? You are not Angelina Jolie man...just look natural with a few foundation might suits you. Now, thats why his cutting cost everywhere and give himself a raise!hmmm
